7 ways to get leads on social media

Social media is a valuable resource for getting leads/prospects interested in your product

Golden rule of social media, “Tweet others the way you want to be tweeted”.

91% of B2B buyers are now active and involved in social media. 84% of senior executives use social media to support purchase decisions, and 75% of B2B buyers are significantly influenced by social media.

  1. Choose the social platform relevant to your prospects. Sometimes you will get your leads from Linkedin and other times you will get your leads from Instagram. Fashion people get leads from Instagram and Pinterest while sales people get leads from Linkedin.
  2. Join or establish a community, create a persona that your prospects can relate with, like and trust. Let your goal be to create connections and build authentic relationships. No ‘spammy’ sales post.
  3. Connect with the right individuals, the ones talking about your brand. Talk to them, comment on their posts, retweet them, answer their questions. Read up on them and identify their needs.
  4. List specific companies and follow them, engage with them enough until they are familiar enough and trust your brand.
  5. Join a discussion, contribute until you can establish yourself as a trustworthy source. Statistics say that 74% of buyers choose the sales rep who first adds value during the buying process than those who don’t. Listen and respond to what people are saying about your brand.
  6. Share relevant content. 50% of B2B buyers are seeking information on products and services on social media and 49% of B2B buyers consume reports when evaluating a technology purchase. You can use a blog post, slideshow or one minute video to share information about important aspects of industry information.
  7. Get the information you need at the right time. Practice social listening on the internet. Be up to date on trends and events happening in your industry.
You can get leads off Linkedin if you post relevant content weekly
